About Cristina Silva

CRISTINA SILVA is a seasoned language professional, who attended college both in Brazil and in the United States. A native of São Paulo, Brazil, her career spans over more than a decade in the field of language services. She has worked as an in-house translator, project coordinator, interpreter, voice-over talent and terminology manager. Her rigorous training as a professional translator was conducted at Kent State University, where she took classes in Project and Terminology Management.

As a translator specializing in software, medical, technical and commercial translations, and certified by the American Translators Association, she has translated for different clients and in many different fields. She has worked as a simultaneous and consecutive conference interpreter and continues to work as a legal interpreter for the Colorado Courts. As a voice-over talent, she has loaned her voice to many technical and product narrations.

She is committed to the field of language services as a means to connect people and cultures and to the advancement and professionalization of the translator/interpreter careers.
