About Cristina Silva

CRISTINA SILVA is a seasoned language professional, who attended college both in Brazil and in the United States. A native of São Paulo, Brazil, her career spans over more than a decade in the field of language services. She has worked as an in-house translator, project coordinator, interpreter, voice-over talent and terminology manager. Her rigorous training as a professional translator was conducted at Kent State University, where she took classes in Project and Terminology Management.

As a technical translator, Certified by the American Translators Association, she has translated a variety of texts in the software, legal, medical and technical fields. She has worked as a conference interpreter and continues to work as a legal interpreter in the Colorado Courts. As a voice-over talent, she has loaned her voice to many technical and product narrations.

She is committed to the field of language services as a means to connect people and cultures and to the advancement and professionalization of the translator/interpreter careers.
